frictional and wear behavior as well as anti-impacting behavior of 3D network ceramic/metal composites were described. The wear resistance of the composites is improved as a result of 3D network ceramics restraining plastic deformation and high temperature softening of the matrix as well as serious three-body wear. Meanwhile
anti-impacting behavior of the composites is enhanced through dispersing and transferring the load imposed on point or plate spacially. In addition
the composites exhibit more damage tolerance
which is attributed to structural interlocking effects resulting from 3D double continuous structures
decreasing the failure tendency of the composites.
