Ceramic coating layer with 2~3 mm in thickness was obtained on surface of thin-walled steel pipe by SHS-centrifugal process.Microstructure of ceramic layer and interface between ceramics and steel pipe were analyzed by XRD (X-ray diffraction)
SEM (scanning electron microscope) and EDS.The results reveal that the ceramic coating is composed of Al2O3
complex compound and trace residual Fe.Interfacial transition layer between ceramic coating and steel pipe can be observed
which is beneficial for improving the interfacial bonding of ceramic coating with steel pipe.
