Effects of trace Sr additions on texture of Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy sheets were analyzed by means of ODF method (oriented distribution function).The results indicate that the samples without Sr are mainly composed of rotating cubic texture and gace texture
where the contents are 21.245% and 38.773%
respectively.The change of the samples with 0.033% Sr addition in texture feature can be neglected
compared with sample without Sr addition
and the texture contents are slightly decreased
where rotating cubic texture and face texture reach 18.665% and 35.553%
respectively
meanwhile
maximum orientation density occurs in {011}<211>.However
the samples with 0.093% Sr exhibits distinctly change in texture features
where rotating cubic texture and face texture are drastically decreased to 0.019% and to 1.133%
respectively
and maximum orientation density appears in {112}<111>.
