Nano-sized SiC particles reinforced magnesium matrix composites were fabricated by mechanical stirring combining with high intensity ultrasonic treatment.Wear properties of the matrix and its nano-composites at 25~300 ℃ were examined.The results reveal that the AZ91 Dalloy and its composites undergo mild-to-severe wear regime at experimental temperature range.The transition temperature of mild-to-severe of the composites is higher than that of AZ91 Dalloy.In the mild wear regime
wear mechanism is characterized by abrasive wear and slight adhesion wear.When the temperature is beyond the critical transition value
the wear mechanism is transferred to severe adhesion wear and delamination wear with the occurrence of severe oxidation wear.
