The interfacial heat transfer coefficient (IHTC) between castings and metal mold during solidification process was calculated through coupling numerical simulation with simulated annealing algorithm based on Isight platform by help of tested temperature data from A356 aluminum alloy. Meanwhile
interface input between the Isight and the ProCAST was resolved successfully. Uniform-step was used to calculate post-treated data
which was more matched with uniform time-step treated experimental data
Furthermore
it was convenient for calculating optimized goal. Through Isight platform integrating with ProCAST software
not only heat transfer coefficient with interface temperature or time can be accurately calculated
but also the method is used to optimize casting process and mould design.
