Effects of argon pressure and attenuant on microstructure and mechanical properties of bulk nano-crystalline Fe3Al prepared by thermit reaction in condition of different pressure of 3

9MPa and attenuant contents of 0
20% and 40%were investigated by TEM(transmission electron microscope) and XRD(X-ray diffraction) and compression testing.The results reveal that crystal structure of the bulk Fe3Al materials prepared belongs to DO3 order with the grain size less than 30 nm.Grain size of the prepared materials is almost independent of the argon pressure
however
with increasing in attenuant content
the grain size is greatly decreased.In addition
yield strength of the prepared materials is improved with pressure increase
however
it is absent of the observed function with grain size.With different attenuant content
an anti-Hall-Petch rule is followed between the grain size and the yield strength.
