Both bulk Cu52.5Ti30Zr11.5Ni6and Cu50.5Ti30Zr11.5Ni6Al2amorphous alloys exhibit high fracture strength of 2 212 MPa and 2 286 MPa
respectively
and the compressive elongation of the both reaches nearly 2.1%.Three different micro-morphologies can be observed on the fracture surfaces of the samples
which correspond to three fracture propagation zones on fracture surface.Meanwhile
localized melting induced by adiabatic heating may occur in the final failure micro-morphology.The elastic-plastic model via shear bands of the tested bulk metallic glasses was verified by micro-hardness and nano-indentation experiments.
