Abstract

The requirements for chemical composition and mechanical properties of large G10 MnMoV6-3 low alloy steel cable node in Qatar 2022 World Cup stadium project were introduced. The cable node prototype was fabricated by lost foam casting

and the main difficulties during the process were discovered. The key points of quality control such as moulding and modeling

smelting and casting

heat treatment in the casting process were put forward. The results indicate that the chemical and mechanical properties of the cable node by lost foam casting are qualified

meeting the project requirements and the European standards.
