The effects of recrystallization annealing temperature on the microstructure

mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of NSSC 2120 duplex stainlesss steel were investigated by OM

SEM

universal tensile testing machine and electrochemical workstation.The results indicate that under the annealing temperature in range of 950 ℃ to 1 200 ℃

the two phase ratio（α/γ） of ferrite and austenite is gradually increased

and the layered austenite structure is transformed into small austenite islands.The α fiber texture and γ fiber texture components are gradually generated and strengthened. As the annealing temperature increases

the tensile strength of the alloy is gradually decreased

meanwhile the elongation is firstly increased and then decreased

and the corrosion resistance is firstly decreased and then increased.After annealing at 1 000 ℃

the cold-deformed duplex stainless steel has the desirable mechanical properties

where the tensile strength and elongation are 730 MPa and 58%

respectively. After annealing at 1 200 ℃

the corrosion current density of the material reaches lowest value of 2.5 μA·cm

-2

where the corrosion resistance is desirable

and exhibits recrystallized texture components such as Brass texture.
