Abstract

The origination of forming bulge defect in the investment casting check valve baffle was analyzed. The main cause of the defect is attributed to the bulge of large plane shell during molding and pouring process.Through inserting stainless steel wire in the wax pattern plane to form technological concave

and adopting special clamping fixture during pouring process

the bulge defects can be eliminated effectively.
