Abstract

During die casting process

the local pressurization parameters were designed by experience

resulting in the fluctuation of the part quality. The local pressurization parameters for a cylinder head cover were optimized by the DOE technique to reduce the porosity and improve the quality. After computer simulation

the optimized parameters were presented. The results reveal that by applying optimized pressurization parameters

internal quality is improved significantly

and the steady of pressurization process is improved

increasing economic efficiency greatly.
