composite coatings were prepared successfully on the surface of 304 stainless steel by MA technique.The microscopic morphology and structure as well as variation in thickness were observed by scanning electron microscopy（SEM）、energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy（EDS）and X-ray diffraction（XRD）.Friction-wear and high-temperature oxidation resistance of the coatings were measured by the friction-wear tester and high-temperature oxidation experiment.The results show that coating thickness is increased firstly and then decreased with time increase.With ball-milling for 8h

the coating exhibits dense with the thickness of about 200μm.Frictional coefficients of sample after milling for 8his lower than that of one with milling for 5h

and its average coefficients is 0.148.In addition

the Al-Al

2

O

3

-ZrO

2

-Y

2

O

3

composite coatings exhibit the satisfied high-temperature oxidation resistance.
