Abstract

The casting process of gear seat was simulated by the AnyCasting software. The results show that the casting defects exist in the gear seat ring.Aiming at the disadvantages of the initiall process

optimized measures were presented as follows:optimizing gating system and riser design

setting chills

etc.After optimization

the probability of defects was decreased greatly

and the technological yield was increased.
