Abstract

Corundum-spinel crucible was developed.Practical use results show that service life of corundum-spinel crucible can reach 150 cycles with smelting 304 stainless steel in 150 kg main frequency furnace. The crucible can not only be free the man-made brasque but also improve significantly the purity of the liquid steel.Meanwhile

the use and problems of the corundum-spinel crucible were described

and the countermeasures were presented.
