    Abstract

    The static equilibrium differential equation of the casting zones and rolling zones during roll casting process is deduced respectively using slab method. Conventional roll casting of a roll caster is simulated based on the established models. The calculation results agree with the measured data very well. Fictious simulation of high speed roll casting has been carried out on the basis of the fact.The results showed that roll casting speed increase with the decrease of the thickness of the strip, and the peak value of rolling pressure decrease with the increase of roll casting speed and thickness of strip or the increase of roll casting zone.The designed parameters of mechanical capabilities of the roll caster should be raised when rolling pressure increase with roller diameter increase.
