TiZrNbSnMo high entropy memory alloys were prepared by vacuum arc melting

and the effects of alloy composition on the microstructure

mechanical properties and superelasticity were investigated by XRD

SEM and cyclic compression. The results indicate that with the gradual substitution of Nb in the composition for Sn

the microstructure

which exhibits higher strength

hardness and poor plasticity at room temperature. The maximum recoverable strain is 4.5%

and the elastic recovery accounts for about 80%. The main microstructure of Ti

alloy is β-Ti

which exhibits low strength

hardness and desirable plasticity at room temperature. The maximum recoverable strain is 2.7%

and the superelasticity recovery accounts for about 30%. Ti

alloy is composed of a mixed structure of fine martensite α″ and β-Ti

which exhibits the optimal superelasticity at room temperature. The maximum recoverable strain reaches 5%

and the superelasticity strain accounts for about 40%.
