In high-manganese aluminium bronze,there are micro-inclusions such as alundum,mullite and spinel; and micro-inclusions such as Al2O3, MnS FeS and FeO MnO. Different filtrating mediums have been used in purifying process, including corundum spheres and alumina bricks. The results show that the filtration process provides an excellent effect on eliminating inclusions in the molten metal. Fatigue strength of the material can be raised by 41.8% and elongation by 9. 7% ; while tensile strength can slightly be improved.
