A Study on the Lately-Developed Zn-Base Bearing Alloy
microstructures and mechanical properties of Zn-base Al alloy have been investigated
and the contrast wear experiment between Zn-base alloy and Pb-base babbitt alloy has been made under equitable conditions. Results show that Zn base alloy can meet the working conditions of sliding bearing. The wear resistance of Zn-has alloy is better than that of the babbitt alloy:but the price of Zn-base alloy is only 17%

6% of babbitt alloy. It is recornmendable that the new Zn-base alloy is an ideal material for sliding bearing under high load and low speed.
