In this paper an economic continuous melting-degassing furnace for Al alloy was studied with emphasis on its structural character and processing as well as the factors influencing on the quality of melt. The differences in operation between new and conventional furnaces were discussed in details. The melting condition in new furnace is favourable for reducing the oxidization of alloy and avoiding the hydrogen pickup
resulting in a small of amount of master alloy and modifier as well as improving quality of alloys. The electric expense is cut off 85% in comparison with conventional melting system.
