The influence of Li on the tensile properties of ZA27 alloy at high temperature has been investigated. The results show that the microstructure of the alloy is significantly refined and crystals at grain boundaries are broken and distributed discontinuously after an appropriate Li addition. As a result
the tensile strength at high temperature significantly increases. The tensile strength of the Li strengthened alloy reaches 230 MPa and 185 MPa and increases by 41.1% and 42.3% more than that of conventional ZA27 alloy respectively.
