Abstract

By means of optical microscope, X ray diffraction, EMPA and TEM, the morphology, type, composition and forming condition of precipitates in Ni Mo type cast nickel base alloy are studied, and the influence of the precipitates on the uniform corrosion, intergranular corrosion and electrochemical corrosion properties are also studied. The results show that, in the range of 800 ̄1 100 ℃, Ni Mo type cast alloy can precipitate more or less Ni Mo intermetallic phases and M 6C. The alloy possesses a good property of uniform corrosion resistance in concentrate hydrochloric acid medium at temperature of 50 ℃ after the alloy has a solution heat treatment in 1 150 ̄1 180 ℃. And it has better intergranular corrosion resistance and electrochemical corrosion behaviour.
