    Abstract

In this paper the high temperature ultimate tensile strength of the ZL109 alloy composite reinforced by mullite aluminosilicate short fibers and its dependence on holding time at 20 ℃, 300 ℃,350 ℃ and 400 ℃ were investigated. Results show that the high temperature ultimate tensile strength of the composite is higher than that of the alloy ZL109 and decreases with prolonging holding time at high temperatures.
