Abstract

The application of CAD in investment casting is of vital significance to improve the efficiency and quality of production. The across platform CAD system for moulding tool and casting technology in investment casting was developed. This CAD system has the functions of performing the analysis of processability of part

selecting technological parameters

designing gating system

aiding die design

and inquiring relevant information. JAVA program language in the CAD software system was used to conduct program design to realize the across platform. The system has the advantages of modularization structure

friendly interface

and convenient operation and maintenance.
