Abstract
The solidification process of high alloy steel pipe in centrifugal casting was analyzed. It is proposed that reducing heat release from the holes in the terminal covers
properly lowering pouring temperature and pouring velocity as well as intensely forced cooling of the mold were favorable for avoiding rills in inner surface. The change in spinning rate of the mold could prevent the cast pipe from the deformation.
