    Abstract

    Effects of trace RE and B on copper and its alloy of late years were reviewed. The RE are able to remove inclusion, purify grain boundary, refine structure and eliminate columnar grain so as to improve the electrical conductivity, mechanical properties, cold and hot workability, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the copper and its alloy. B can more significantly refine grain as compared with RE. The latest experimental data were offered.
