Numerical Simulation of Temperature Field and Thermal Stress Field of Metallic Mold for Ductile Iron Pipes in Centrifugal Casting
An axisymmetrical model for analysis of the heat transferr of metallic mold for pipe has been established by finite element simulation method on the basis of analyzing operation thermal condition of metallic mold for pipe. The change of temperature field and thermal stress field of 21CrMo10 metallic mold was analyzed using ANSYS software on the basis of disposed convection
radiation and contact boundary condition and latent heat of solidification in the model .The results of numerical simulation coincides with experimental results and actual damage condition in metallic mold for pipe.
