Aimed at the existing problems in conventionam cast filtrated surface alloying
including liquid grey iron wettable to alloying coating and susceptivity to processing parameters
aided effect of a new cast filtration agent YB 1 for Al Si surface filtrated grey iron under different technological conditions was studied. The results showed that the 0.5%YB 1 cast filtration agent could improve the liquid grey iron wettability
and the qualified 1~ 2 mm Al and Si surface alloyed layer and excellent Robust processing could be obtained on the sample of 10~50 mm thickness at the 1 350~1 400 ℃ crupola iron melt in gravity casting. And the aided filtration mechanism of YB 1 was approached also.
