The structural transformation of Cu Ti B mixed powders during mechanical alloying has been investigated by XRD
SEM and TEM. The results showed that powder particles and α Cu grain sizes in Cu Ti B mixed powder were fined and strain was increased continuously with the increase of mechanical alloying time. The dissolvability of Ti and B in α Cu could be enhanced through mechanical alloying. B addition could promote the dissolution of Ti in α Cu so as to accelerate the mechanical alloying process of Cu Ti B powder.
