    Abstract

    The effects of strong pulsed magnetic field on the solidification microstructures of LY12 aluminum alloy were studied. It is showed that the solidification structures of LY12 aluminum alloy were changed remarkably and the strong pulsed magnetic treated grains in LY12 aluminum alloy were refined obviously. Otherwise, compared to un treated sample, the diffraction peaks of (111), (200), (311) and (222) crystal face in the X ray diffraction spectrum of magnetic treated sample were strengthened obviously.
