Abstract
Effects of alloying elements Zr and V on the mechanical properties of HA alloy in Al Cu alloy series were investigated to develop a high strength and toughness cast Al alloy with low hot tearing trend. The results showed that proper V addition can significantly enhance both tensile strength and elongation of the alloy while Zr can improve these properties to a certain extent.
