SiCp/Al composites with high SiC particulates volume fraction were prepared in reactive centrifugal infiltration processing and its bending strength was examined. It is concluded that uniform distribution SiCp/Al composites with up to 63% high SiC particulate volume fraction can be prepared by infiltration method at low temperature and low centrifugal force for appropriate grain size proportion of particulates.The strength of the composites is greatly dependent on the size of SiC particulate and interfacial reaction. Proper interface bonding and fine SiC particulate addition favor the bending strength of the composites which is further improved as high as 519MPa due to the change of the stressed state of SiC particulates after the matrix was heat-treated.
