Effects of Heat Treatment on the Damping Properties of the Extruded Mn-Cu Damping Alloy
The effect of heat treatment on the damping properties of the Mn\|Cu damping alloy in extruding casting
compared with that in the water cooling permanent mold was studied.The results showed that under the condition of the 800 ℃×4 h solution treatment with immediate water quenching and aging at 400 ℃ for 4 h
the optimum damping property of MN\|Cu damping alloy in extruding casting that is higher by 20% than in water cooling permanent mold.Moreover
the damping property of the alloy changes with the frequency.A internal friction peak occurs at frequency 225 Hz.
