Influence of Sn Addition on the Glass Forming Ability of Zr52.5Ti5Ni14.6Cu17.9Al10 Bulk Metallic Glass Alloy
Effects of Sn addition on the glass forming ability of Zr 52.5Ti 5Ni 14.6Cu 17.9Al 10 bulk metallic glass alloy have been investigated. The results showed that both the glass transition temperature T g and crystallization temperature T x moved to higher temperature to some extent while the melting temperature T m showed slight variation with various Sn addition. T g and T x increased by 17 ℃ and 36 ℃ respectively with 1.86% Sn addition
thus the ΔT x increased by 19 ℃ and the reduced temperature increase from 0.63 to 0.65. The effects of Sn on T g
