Abstract
Theory and present research status of numerical simulation for eutectic solidification with multi-phase field method were expounded. The multi-phase field model has experienced the development stages from pure material grain to multi-phase and multinary alloy
from isotropy to anisotropy
from isothermal temperature to aniso-thermal temperature. The further research prospects were pointed out.It is suggested that flow field and stress field as well as other fields would be considered in future trendency of the multi-phase field model.
