Effects of Melt Super-heat Treatment on Orientation of Liquid-solid Plane Interface Front of Ag-1Cu Alloy
Effects of the Ag-1Cu melt super-heat treatment on crystallization orientation in plane interface at various growth rates are investigated. It is found that the melt at high super-heated temperature is responsible for the branching to orientation of plane single crystal. The formation mechanism of orientation branching is analyzed by Leonard-Jones potential energy and cluster theory. It is showed that the distribution of cluster in primary phase plays important role for crystallization orientation.
