Abstract
Effects of some key processing parameters
such as pouring temperature
filling velocity
entry nozzle design
on aluminum alloy gradient materials in double-stream-pouring continuous casting were analyzed in order to control variation of these parameters within certain range so as to obtain desirable gradient distribution in aluminum alloy. Some available parameters were given for the fabrication of 2024/3003 aluminum alloy. The work is helpful to the practical application of the DSPCC in production of gradient aluminum alloys in large-scale.
