Abstract

The CuAlNi memory alloy with column structure can be prepared through the remelting of the primary alloy using directional solidification dev ice and the optimized processing parameters can be obtained.The composition and transformation temperature points can be obtained by chemical ingredients and DS C analysis and the typical column structure can be obvesrved by OM.The memories of the alloy in single crystal,conventional casting and directional solidificati on were compared by measuring cycling fatigure period.The reason resulting in th e increase of memory of CuAlNi alloy with column structure was approached.It was found that directional solidification can improve the workability and memory s tready and cold-heat cycling period and eliminate the longitudinal crystal boun dary of the alloy.
