Contact Corrosion Characteristics of AZ91 Mg Alloy Coupled with A3 Steel in Aqueous NaCl Solutions
The serious contact corrosion occurred in AZ91 Mg alloy coupled with A3 steel in aqueous NaCl solution
locating near contacted place of the Mg alloy coupled with A3 steel. The average pit depth and corrosion mass-loss of the Mg alloy increase with increase in NaCl concentration and extending over dipping time. The corroded products mainly consist of Mg(OH) 2
MgCO 3 and Mg 2Al 2O 4. The corroded second phase Mg 17 Al 12 has been detected due to matrix corrosion in corroded products too.
