Computer Aided Prediction of Effects of Pouring Temperatureon on the Solidification Structure for Twin-roll Thin Strip
On the basis of the theoretically developed mathematical model
the influence of pouring temperature on the proportion of columnar crystal zone
the columnar dendrite arm spacing and the directional orientation in the solidification structrue of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel twin-roll thin strip with constant thickness was predicted. The simulated results indicated that with the pouring temperature increase
the proportion of columnar crystal zone increased first
and then declined gradually
while the columnar dendrite arm spacing and the directional orientation decreased with pouring temperature increase but the columnar dendrite arm spacing had a suddenly increasing trend at higher pouring temperature by solidification end.
