Mg content and hydrogen content in Al-Mg alloy was examined by measuring hydrogen content in Al-Mg alloy melt with different superheating degree and Mg content through HYSCANII.The results showed that hydrogen content increases with the increase of temperature in Al-Mg alloy melt.Different morphology of hydrogen in the melt can result in different reversibility. The hydrogen content in the melt can be greatly reduced by heat-speed treatment.Changes of Mg on surface oxidized film in aluminum melt are responsible for the hydrogen-absorption of Al-Mg alloy melt.
