Cladding-rolling for Hypereutectic High Si Aluminum Alloy
Cladding-rolling for high Si aluminum alloy ingot with a Si mass fraction of higher than 26% prepared by smelting-casting technology was conducted.Distortion rate of un-cracked modified high-Si aluminum by hot-rolling with multi-times and minor distortion can be more than 60% while the total distortion can be more than 90% by cold-rolling.The microstructures of the alloy under hot-rolling and cold-rolling conditions were analyzed and compared by the OM.It was found that cladding-rolling can efectively prevent crack propagation so that the forming problem in brittle material can be solved.
