Abstract
A new foaming method for preparation of foamed aluminum alloy by immersible foaming and effects its variables on foaming were investigated.The foamed aluminum alloy with uniform bubbles and controllable gas-hole can be manufactured with pure commercial aluminum and TiH
2
powder at immersible temperature of 680~760 ℃ for immersible time of 10~30 s and holding time of 10~60 s.The results showed that powder metallurgy with immersible foaming is a perspective method for preparation of foamed aluminum alloy
