Abstract
Aluminum cover of engine for Honda car was manufactured by die casting.The predominant factors influencing the cover quality include advanced mould design
proper injection parameters
special moldfication for aluminum melt
rational improvement of ingate and exhaust pipe and proper control of die temperature.Some predominant parameters were determined including slow-injection velocity of 0.2~0.3 m/s
fast-injection velocity of 6.0~6.3 m/s
fast-injection distance of 460 mm and applying-pressure specific pressure of 33.6 MPa
applying-pressure distance of 510 mm
holding pressure of 8 s
pouring temperature of 680 ℃ as well as die temperature of 140~260 ℃.
