Phosphate Bonded Self-hardening Core in Investment Casting
was introduced.The core materials consist of soluble phosphate binder
magnesium oxide hardener and high-purity silicon oxide as refractory aggregate materials.Composition of the core and hardening mechanism were briefly introduced.Some key technological parameters
such as strength at both room and high temperatures and gas evolution
were tested under various conditions
and the influential factors were analyzed and concluded.Some other applying performances were also evaluated or described
including the bench time of the slurry and core accuracy
surface roughness
thermal shock resistance
collapsibility
easiness of chemical cleaning
high-temperature chemical stability of metal melt.
