Characteristics of Semi-solid Gradient Microstructure of High Chromium White Cast Iron Prepared by Inclined Cooling Body-Centrifugal Casting
The microstructure of semi-solid annular specimen prepared by inclined cooling body-centrifugal casting was observed. It was found that compared with those of the specimen obtained by conventional forming method
primary austenite in the semi-solid high Cr white cast iron becomes fine and equiaxed. The morphology and distribution of primary austenite in the semi-solid high Cr white cast iron are changed with the distance increase from the outer profile of the annular specimen
divided into four regions from external layer to internal layer
such as fine small austenite dendrite region
interface region of primary equiaxed austenite region and fine small dendritic austenite region and primary equiaxed austenite region
bulky primary dendritic austenite region
in which interface region lies about 10~15 mm from outer profile.
