Effects of Xanthan Gum on the Performance of Water Base Coating for Lost Foam Casting
In order to improve the performance of water base coating for lost foam casting
the effects of xanthan gum on the performance of the coating were investigated.Experimental results showed that proper xanthan gum addition can significantly increase suspension capacity and coating layer strength
and improve coating adhesion and brushibility as well as viscosity while decreases slightly the coating permeability.It was believed that the xanthan gum can be widely used in water base coating.
