Thin-walled Effects of a New Directionally Solidified Superalloy
Abstract
The thin-walled effects of a new directionally solidified superalloy were investigated aiming at tubular hollow specimens with wall thickness of 1.0
1.2
1.4 mm similar to the hollow blades made by the net-shape investment casting. The results showed that the stress-rupture of the thin-walled specimens can not be obviously reduced by comparing with that of the standard ones with the diameters of 5mm
indicating the alloy has no obvious thin-walled effects for the experiment condition. The experimental results were analyzed from the view of processing factors and microstructure.
