Pretreated nano-SiC particle reinforced AM60 magnesium alloy was fabricated by stirring-smelting casting. Effects of nano-SiC particle on the microstructure
mechanical properties and hardness of the Mg alloy were researched. The results show that nano-SiC particle can refine the microstructure and improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of the AM60 magnesium alloy. The tensile strength
elongation and hardness of the nano-particle reinforced AM60 Mg alloy with 1%nano-SiC particle addition is 240 MPa

40.3% and 11.6% respectively compared with that of the AM60 Mg alloy without nano-SiC particle with the same method.Meanwhile
the strengthening mechanism of nano-particle SiC on the AM60 magnesium alloy was approached.
