Present Status of Al2O3/Cu Composites Produced by Internal Oxidation
/Cu composites are attractive engineering materials for application requiring high strength
high thermal and electric conductivity and resistance to softening at an elevated temperature.Present status of preparation of Al
2
O
3
/Cu composites by internal oxidation and its acquiring conditions were reviewed
especially internal oxidized kinetics and thermo-kinetics.The excellent properties of the Al
2
O
3
/Cu composites at ambient and at elevated temperatures were verified by internal oxidation using Cu
2
O.The service life of composites electrode is 3~5 times higher than that of conventional Cu-Cr-Zr electrode based on installment experiment of spot-welding electrodes.Finally
the problems in preparation of Al
2
O
3
/Cu composites by internal oxidation were paid attention to.
