Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AZ91D-RE-xCa Mg Alloy Extruded Tube

It was revealed that the mechanical properties of the alloyed Mg alloy extruded tube at a high temperature can be significantly improved. The optimized mechanical properties of the Mg alloy extruded tube with 0.5% Ca content
including tensile strength of 225.2 MPa
yield strength of 179.3 MPa and elongation of 5.3%
at a high temperature of 200 ℃ can be obtained
which is superior to those of AZ91D Mg alloy extruded tube at the same experimental conditions.
